Mini Lush Haul | Face & Hair

I’m done with my first year of university! That went by a lot faster than I expected. As a little treat, I’d gone to Lush to get myself a few things earlier this week. Little did I know that I would come out of there $82 poorer than I was before. That’s almost RM240 spent on just four products from Lush. Ouch.

Anyway, I thought I’d do a mini lush haul just to talk about what I bought and why. Lush had already released their Christmas collection quite some time ago, but I wasn’t really interested in any of them.. I don’t get the whole craze for the Snow Fairy shower gel to be honest. It smells way too sweet, and it kind of makes me sick. I mean I would love to get their bath bombs and bubble bars, but unfortunately, I don’t have a bathtub to use them in, so I stuck to my usual buys instead.

Daddy-O — $32.95 (500g)
This purple shampoo is highly recommended for grey or blonde hair to combat brassiness. Although my hair is neither of those colours, I always go back to this shampoo because I absolutely love the smell of it. This could easily be my third large bottle of Daddy-O.. I don’t really know how to describe the smell, but it’s apparently violet-scented? The consistency of this shampoo is very watery, but I find that you don’t need much at all to create a nice, thick lather. So yeah, one bottle like this can last you quite a while.

Tea Tree Water — $19.95 (250g)
Everyone knows tea tree helps with oily and acne prone skin, so it’s perfect for me. Hahah. I still have occasional breakouts here and there but I’ve noticed a difference in my skin after my first bottle, so I went back for a second one. This tea tree water has officially replaced my usual pharmacy-bought toner and I love it. You can spray it on anytime throughout the day to freshen up your face, as well. Sometimes I even spray it all over my pillow to keep it clean between washes. :D

Sea Spray — $12.50 (100g)
I’ve never tried this one before, but I bought it because it’s supposed to give the hair some extra volume. My hair can get pretty flat and dull, especially if I don’t wash it every day, so I’m excited to try this out. This spray consists of sea water, sea salt, seaweed, and a bunch of essential oils that make it smell great! Hoping this product makes me feel like I’m lazing by the beach with the sea breeze running through my hair. Lol.

Mask of Magnaminty — $16.95 (125g)
I’ve never tried this one before either. One of the ladies at Lush recommended this to me because the Cupcake mask I usually get had run out. She said this mask was more intense and targets spots better than the Cupcake mask. It’s a mask for your face and back during “times of trouble”, but I don’t get breakouts on my back, so I’ll just use it for my face. It’s green and smells very strongly of mint chocolate chip ice cream! Yum~

Hmm.. What should I try next?

Welcome

Hi there. Welcome to my blog.

Where do I start?

It’s funny because I’ve written many, many blog posts in my life — as an amateur in my early teen years, as well as for my university assessments last semester (woes of being a media student, lol jk). The former lacked any sense of direction whatsoever, while the latter was specifically related to media theories, that I, personally, would not be interested in reading myself.

And now, here I am. Stuck in the middle (sort of)

I want to say that this is going to be a fashion & lifestyle blog, but who knows where it’ll go? I’ll share my outfits, hauls and maybe even some reviews, but this blog will also consist of the food I’ve tried, the places I’ve been, and the people I love.

Maybe I’ll find a niche as I go, but for now, I’ll introduce this space as an extension of me; my life, my wardrobe, my travels, my experiences, my thoughts and opinions.
